During yesterday's Lunch & Learn webinar session, Joanne Black, founder of No More Cold Calling, shared her innovative approach to referral selling with our audience. Joanne opened her presentation with an interactive pole, asking audience members to report what percent of the time they gained a new client through a referral. Conversion percents were high, leading Joanne to present another poll question asking audience members how many had a written referral strategy. The response showed very few people having a specific refferal strategy.
Joanne then presented us with the question of why, if referrals are so effective, don't more businesses have a targetted referral strategy? The rest of Joanne's presentation addressed this question and discussed how to consistently attract one's best and most profitable clients while turning every new client into a source of even more business. Joanne's system became even more attractive as she explained turning between fifty and ninety percent of one's prospects into clients, while working less, becoming more profitable and more productive.
